In 1996, I produced a news/talk show about Kobe Bryant, an 18 year old basketball player about to embark on a career with the NBA straight out of high school. On the show, the guests debated whether it was a good idea for Bryant to skip the college experience and turn pro. I think most would agree he made the right move. During his 20 year career, Kobe Bryant became one of the most accomplished athletes of all time.
